What's Up, Doc? filming locations Part 8

Didn't have a crane to photograph from, so you'll have to settle for a street level view. Incidently, there is a Bristol Hotel in San Francisco (in a seedy area). But the actual hotel used during filming was the Hilton San Francisco. Thought I'd mention that in case somebody tries to book a room at the Bristol thinking it's the real thing.

  1. Just came across this--so cool! I just came back from a four-day trip to San Francisco, and I honestly was tempted to bring my favorite film on DVD and my DVD player...but I knew I'd be busy. Official conference hotel=the Hilton on O'Farrell, and that's where I stayed! Of course, I only found out yesterday (since returning home) that it was (as I kind of suspected, while staying there) the location of my long-loved What's Up Doc! Had I known, I would have insisted on a room on the 17th floor...1717, perhaps? I rewatched it (for perhaps the 25th time) last night...hard to recognize the ballroom level, etc. But I could sort of see the shape of the lobby. So different now.... Anyway, your photo makes it quite clear!
