ReplyDeleteI have been searching the net for photos of this showing at Graumans. This was my first big trip, with my family, i was 7 years old and so blown away by hollywood and couldnt believe i was actually there. We arrived at Graumans, and it is frozen in my mind, the posters etc for WHAT's UP DOC. i asked my father who the stars were, and i looked up and saw a replica of barbra and ryan on the bicycle. I remember exactly where i was standing and even though my father has been gone for years, this photo brings it all right back. I cant say thankyou enough for posting this. I saw the film as soon as we returned home and as a 7 year old, i somehow thought i was a part of the movie having seen how HOLLYWOOD promotes a movie. I love old theates, i love barbra streisand, and you sure made my day withthis photo, thankyuou again.!

I still have to watch WHATS UP DOC several times a year. Barbra is beyond amazing. I still laugh hard every time. I have since had a friends daughter watch it with me, who is 10, and she thought it was one of the funniest movies she has ever seen. She wanted it for her birthday on dvd.
ReplyDeleteAnother big compliment to Barbra: i have the song YOURE THE TOP which barbra sings in the film. Just listening to the song, i smile. Barbra puts so much JOY in that song. you truly hear it in her, in the things she says, when she says it- every time i listen to this song, and its often, i smile and truly FEEL and respect how barbra effects so a mood. She is ACtiNG with her incredible voice. i have heard others sing this, and its a great song, BUT when Barbra sings it, joy takes over! THANKYOU MISS STREISAND, more than you know!
I never get tired of watching What's Up, Doc? either.
