More Candids from Meet The Fockers - Part 7

I toured Universal Studios during the time of shooting Meet The Fockers. Some scenes were filmed on soundstage 25. The plants are left outside for sunlight when they are not filming.

More Candids from Meet the Fockers - Part 5

Here's a shot of the pier and lagoon from an angle not seen in the film. The pier was built for the movie.

More Candids from Meet the Fockers - Part 4

The real screened-in back porch. Too tiny for actual filming. The back porch in the film was a studio set.

More Candids from Meet the Fockers - Part 3

The backside of the Focker house. The white with red accent side is the normal color for the Queen Anne cottage. The brown paint is for the Focker side of the house.

Candid Meet the Focker photos - Part 1

I've got some extra candid photos I took from the Meet the Fockers location shoot at the L.A. Arboretum that I didn't post previously. The "faux" fence is on the other side of the lagoon from the house. The flowers on the fence are fake.

Send in the Clowns

I was watching a special about Stephen Sondheim on TV and them spent a good portion on his song Send in the Clowns. They talked about all the singers who have recorded the single and showed this mosaic of all the artists who have recorded it through the years. Of course Barbra was represented- twice: The Broadway Album, and if you keep looking, you will see The Essential Barbra Streisand cover.

Barbra's Hello, Dolly! house

This is one of those stories that I can't verify, but I'll share it with you anyway. According to "my source" this is the house that Barbra stayed at when they were filming Hello, Dolly! in Garrison, N.Y.
A few years ago (2002 if my memory serves me well) my friend Robin and I took a trip to Garrison by train to check out the filming location. The train station spot is very small. We decided to walk up the hill and explore the area. Now this was a small town and some lady in a truck stopped to talk to us and we told her the whole story about why we were here. Turns out she lived here during the filming and offered to take us to the next town of Cold Spring.
What the heck, we decided to get in the car with her. During the short drive she talked about the filming and according to her, this is the house Barbra stayed at during the Garrison location shooting. She stopped the car and allowed us to get out and take a picture!
