Student Movie Poll - 1979

Our New Braunfels High School newspaper, The Horn and Hoof, did a student survey back in January 1979 on movie favorites. The survey was hardly scientific, especially when you consider Barbra Streisand was THIRD favorite actress! Sally Field must have been still riding on the popularity of Smokey and The Bandit from 2 years earlier and Olivia Newton-John from Grease the previous year. (of course, Barbra was still riding on the popularity of A Star is Born from 3 years prior).
