California Hall of Fame - The Red Carpet

This is the red carpet from the 2010 California Hall of Fame ceremony on December 14. This is the red carpet Barbra would have walked down if she had chosen to walk down it. However, as it turns out, she was not scheduled to walk down carpet (more on that in a later post).

In the top photo the celebrities would be walking toward you. This is where the public was allowed to stand during the event. These photos were taken around 3:00 p.m. As you can see you had a great opportunity to grab a front row spot. Hey this is Sacramento. If it had been in L.A. the area would have been packed by now.

In the second photo the celebrities have now turned the corner and are heading toward the media portion of the red carpet. The lighting was brighter in this area. There was also a small section for the public to view the action. You can see two people already lined up for it. And yes they were there also to see Barbra. I didn't need to ask them, but I did. They suspected I was there for Barbra too. It's hard to tell, but it was raining lightly throughout the day- and night.

The third photo is from the main entry. But the area is about to be curtained off blocking the view of the inside- along with the photo op when the honorees line up along the back wall next to their panel. The celebrities keep walking around the building.

In the bottom photo, the stars would continue walking toward you before turning one more corner. This area was also for the press only.
