Barbra makes a "cameo" appearance in Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. If you blink, you'll miss it. Incidentally, the newpaper rack was intended for the "Carrie Nations" album display and not the Hello, Dolly! soundtrack (but considering how the movie did at the box office, you never know).
This is a screen capture from the schlock film, "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls". During a montage highlighting the Hollywood scene, there is a quick shot of the above image showing a part of the 20th Century Fox studio and surrounding area. If you enlarge the image and look closely at the bottom of the screen, you can clearly see the Hello, Dolly! New York street set (at an angle you didn't see in the movie). Since "Beyond" came out during the summer of 1970, this shot was probably filmed in late '69 when the set was still in tact.

As you can tell, the railroad tracks have been removed for quite some time. The trainshed consisted of 20 tracks and has not been restored. The area is visible but blocked off from the public. Is this the exact numbered train track from the movie? There's no way I can tell for sure since they all look the same. This one was from the middle and had the best view down to the end of the shed (they all had growth that blocked the view).
As you can see, I had trouble accessing the site, but I pretty much got the angle correct. The area is fenced off for a new park. After construction is completed in 2012 the area will be open (and unobstructed) to the public.
