I collected a batch of candid photos of Barbra at this event. Some have already been posted. Forgive me, but I don't know the name of this event. If someone out there knows, please advise. I'm sure someone out there does. Anyway, I'm calling it The Pink Dress series.

It would have been more dramatic to take a photograph during the movie, but I didn't want to disturbed the other patrons. But I had to take a least one shot to memorialize the event. Figured no one would be too upset if I took a shot during closing credits.

This is a rare ticket for Funny Girl. Only 9 exist. That's right. Only 9 people showed up for the screening. And 2 of them showed up late when Barbra was singing Second Hand Rose so who knows if they actually paid for a ticket to see Funny Girl. They could have wandered in after seeing another movie.
It was by luck that I knew about the screening. No promotion. Not even a mention in the newspaper.

While the era of the roadshow engagement is long gone, I couldn't help but notice some remnants are coming back. Advance tickets were available. Granted, there was only one screening in this case. You could still buy them in advance. You could also choose the seat you wanted, similar to reserved seating during the initial engagement. They also including the intermission.

Unlike the roadshow engagement, I bought the first ticket for the screening 30 minutes before showtime!
