Yet Even More from The Rookies
A great chase sequence with the Hello, Dolly! street also appeared in Season 1, Episode 4 of The Rookies. The bad guy was being chased around the back lot of a movie studio and ended up running along the elevated train track. You can tell in the top photo that the background buildings were simply painted on a flat plane to look real. There's a French word for this painting technique (can't think of it, but if I do, I'll let you know).

Barbra in 1975?!?
Most fans would recognize this image from Barbra's first cover of Life Magazine. If you look closely you'll notice a few wrinkles. That's because this illustration is suppose to show what Barbra would look like in 1975! As best I can remember Life Magazine did an article in 1965 about what celebreties would look like 10 years from now. Guess they thought she'd keep her original hairstyle along with the dress.

Funny Girl/ Funny Lady
Another page from the Swank catalog. A couple of interesting tidbits about Funny Girl. It was available in CinemaScope (technically, it was filmed in Panavision). Of course, why would you want it cropped? The running time is coming in at 161 minutes. On IMDB.com it's showing a time of 151 minutes for the general release and 155 minutes for the roadshow version. Even the DVD is listed at 155. So where are the extra 6 minutes coming from? I guess you have to order the "CinemaScope" version to find out! Love the Funny Lady photo too.
