The day I was on the top level of the hotel it was cloudy unfortunately. But the view is spectactular none-the-less. I don't know the highways in San Francisco, but I could only match up the curvy "s-shaped" road in the middle panel. The elevator door in the movie was a prop. The area Howard walks out of is a vestible for a series of elevator doors oriented is a different direction.
