What's Up, Doc? filming locations Part 10

The drugstore is gone also :(

  1. Damn, it was my favorite scene too. One thing I could never figure out. The owner of the drugstore rings up the cost for the radio (and bottle of aspirin), which I punched into an inflation calculator and the radio would cost something like $250 in today's money! It didn't seem possible but maybe transistor radios were expensive back then?

  3. Daniel:

A clock radio like the once shown could have cost that much. Keep in mind the drugstore probably had inflated prices since it was located in a hotel.

Airports, along with contemporary hotels, remodel every decade or so to keep up to date with the latest trends and technology.
