Sadly, the "Good Whip Restaurant" is no more. It was an ice crean parlor in real life at the time of filming. It is now a title company. Well, that's progress I guess. It's located in Ballston Spa, about a 30 minute drive from Schenectady.

This parlor was owned and operated by my uncle, John Frisbie, a life long resident of Ballston Spa. Nice to see it in your blog.

Hello Jim:
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you found the parlor here. Were you around when they filmed there? Any stories (or photos) that you would like to share?

We bought a booth from this restaurant after the filming when they had it for sale. Just curious if it has any value.
